There is nothing harder then figuring out which strain is right for you, whether you’re just beginning to search for the best medical cannabis to treat your particular condition or just a stress and anxiety free night in, the amount of choices can be overwhelming. Not to mention, choosing the right pot solely based on your friend’s opinions and personal experiences rather than scientific research can be a hit or miss.
When Manhattan based Biotech Company, PotBotics first introduced a smarter technology that merges robotics, artificial intelligence, DNA analysis and cannabis research to streamline the entire process of effectively choosing the perfect custom strain; they completely revolutionized the medical marijuana industry. Its safe to say…my mind was blown (insert explosion gesture here)!
A wireless EEG (electroencephalography) helmet, known as BrainBot– one of the three products under the PotBotics line, will scan and monitor your neural reactions to certain strains and compounds to figure out which strain effects you ‘the patient’ and how. The idea is to target specific reactions and give patients exactly the strain they need ― creating a positive/happy brain wave wiping out their medical conditions.
The PotBot Application, think virtual budtender, currently available for desktop download only, will ask your age, weight, location, medical condition, and frequency of marijuana use, and then the site will determine which marijuana strains and cannabinoid concentrations are best for you. Each recommendation includes links to supporting peer-reviewed studies, scientific data, compatible strains, consumption methods, dispensaries, and the option to locate a doctor.
According to the elevator pitch of the company’s CEO David Goldstein, who I’m pretty sure is the Steve Jobs of cannabis, PotBotics is “a New York and Silicon Valley based technology company working to reduce patients’ reliance on ‘roll of the dice’ medical marijuana recommendations by identifying and quantifying the effects different cannabinoids have on patients with various symptoms and conditions.”
As if the idea of a personal budtender isn’t enough, NanoPot, the third tech product in the Potbotics line extension, scans seeds for their DNA information and recommends optimal growth strategies based on the findings, so growers can enhance their yields.
After giving the PotBot desktop application a try, it became clear, PotBotics will inevitably upgrade the cannabis selection process to new industry standards. What are your thoughts…Do you think it will change the weed game? Could a virtual dispensary be the next big thing? Leave a comment!
